It’s been a while since an update. But since WordPress charged me again for another year of hosting, I figured I’d better actually use this site! 🙂
Every year our July 4th tradition is to go on a fourwheeler/ATV ride. We usually head to Glacier Creek Falls, which is maybe a 50mile ride, roundtrip.

This year, thanks to our cold and cloudy summer, we postponed the ride to July 13. And that was so well timed! The sky opened up and it did not rain one single drop. It was just perfect for the day trip. Not too hot, not to cold, juuuuuust right.

The views were stunning, as usual.

The snow slide was there, as usual, which elated many folks. Please enjoy these quick phone camera clips, sped up for your viewing pleasure.
Unique little wildflowers brought me so much delight.

Kiddos had fun playing in the little creek. Evie fell into the water several times but kept walking right back into it. 🤷♀️
Some of the more daring folks love to scramble all over the rock formations like little mountain goats. Above the falls are neat little pools where the stream has smoothed out the stone and created little schutes that the water gushes through on its way out of the mountians.
On a hotter day it might be a bit more refreshing. But with ambient temp high in the high 50’s-very low 60’s…. I did not step in this water barefoot!

Ever a trek to get out there, it seems to take twice as long to arrive (2+hours) as it does to get back home. But it is always a peaceful day in the hills and we look forward to it so much, every year. Thankful for blue skies, few bugs, and sweet memories!
