Today was a day of answered prayers, rest, and “Praise God!” moments.

I was able to take the day off work for subsistence activities, a type of paid leave offered by my job here in Nome. I packed up three of my little fisher friends and headed down to the river, with a car full of fishing poles and side snacks of PopTarts and SourPatch Kids.

As I am learning, it’s better to go at certain heights of tide than others…. so we didnt catch much other than a baby flounder and one pink/humpy salmon. But great fun was had by all!

I went to a friend’s for dinner and a movie; I watched Jurrasic World for the first time. Nothing like Velociraptors and Pizza.

Afterward I went for a 11pm stroll on the beach. My prayer time was short but sweet. Father God has answered some of my prayers and His work is so evident. It is so good to see.

I found a lovely piece of pink/orange glass tonight, which was such a delight.

God is good. All the time.
