Sunday. I got to play piano today at church, for the first time in a while. We did a newer song to me, Who You Say I Am. It was on repeat in my mind as I walked along the shore this afternoon.
Who the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
I’m a child of God
Yes I am!
It’s a song that pounds truth into my soul, after the world tries to chip and chip away at my identity in Christ.
I am chosen,
Not forsaken!
I am who You say I am!
You are for me,
Not against me.
I am who You say I am!
As we return to work tomorrow, may we rest in our true identity – Children Of God. And if this is not a label that defines you yet, I pray that you would encounter Jesus in a way that brings you to your knees before him, with open eyes and an open heart.
